Low Rider

So this would be more appropriate as the first post, but it's not. Deal with it! This is a picture of our car, packed to the brim, taken right before we hit the road. Normally, this car is not so low to the ground, hehe.

Oh and FYI, there are tons of trucks here...it seems like almost everyone drives one!

Hello, El Paso!

Today we arrived in El Paso...an easy drive (ok, in my case, ride) on I-10 E. In case you're wondering, driving through Arizona, New Mexico, and Texas (well, west TX anyways), all pretty much looks the same. Dennis says that once we got into TX, it seemed like there was a higher pick-up truck ratio (but he said this could be psychological...or not). I of course slept most of the way because if I'm in a car and not driving, chances are I have probably fallen asleep. Tomorrow I will try to do a truck count while awake. In the meantime, here's a nice picture of a TX limousine that I found for your viewing pleasure:

Fresh Meat in TX

Hi there. This is a blog I created because I am moving from a big city in California to a small town in Texas, where I have never lived before (hence the fresh meat). I am also dedicating this post to my friend, Niyati, who had the brilliant idea for the creation of this blog. Also I think it's funny this post "Fresh Meat in TX" is dedicated to Niyati because she is vegetarian. Oh the irony!

From this...

Good thing I have cowboy boots!
